The Community Garden is one of the treasures of St Francis Bay: click here to read about it in our Coastal Treasure section.
The garden was established in the early 1980s by a generous property-owner, Colin Hall. When his sponsorship finally ended there were no public funds available to maintain the garden and the Enviro-Trust stepped in. Thanks to the efforts of two families whose properties adjoin the garden, the Eltons and the Potts, and a monthly visit from the St Francis Links team, the garden is kept tidy and well-maintained. And except in times of drought it is a green oasis exploding with plant and small animal life. The Enviro-Trust provides financial assistance when required, and if you would like to make a contribution to this cause, you can contact us.
